First is to figure out the total square feet of your landscape beds to be mulched. Measure the length and width of your landscape beds, in feet with a tape measure, or measure your stride and step off your beds. Then the length multiplied by the width will give you the square feet of each of your beds.

The square feet of a circle is figured by taking half the width of the circle and multiply that number by itself, then take that number and multiply it by 3.14 to give you the square feet of your circle.

Example:

1500 square feet of total landscaped area to be covered @ 1 1/2 inch depth.

Multiply 1500 X 3 = 4500 lbs of Rubber Mulch

Note:

  • Coverage - 2000 lb's of bulk Rubber Mulch will cover approximately 600 sq. ft. at 1 1/2 inch depth
  • 40 lb Bag of Rubber Mulch will cover approx 15 square feet at 1 1/2 inch depth
  • 1 ton of Rubber Mulch will cover approx. 600 square feet at 1 1/2 inch depth
  • 2,000 lb's equals 2 cu. yds.
